Elegant evening on the town......WHATEVER

I had another wonderful weekend planned. It would begin with a fine meal at the Bonne Terre inn in Horn Lake, followed by a evening of entertainment. I dressed husband in his' finest diggs and I donned myself in a new dress. Off for an elegant evening.

The evening started out wonderful. We arrived at Bonne Terre. My heart was softened as I watched a mother duck being followed by her babies. There was a wedding going on at the chapel. We caught a glimpse of the bride in a beautiful ruffled wedding gown. I ordered the seabass with crawfish risotto. Husband ordered the pecan-crusted free range chicken. We both began with a salad. I also had a pinot grigio from Italy that was delightfully fruity. The ambiance of the inn was breathtaking. The food was scrumptious.

We headed for the orpheum downtown. The mood was delightful. All of the gorgeous people dressed in fine clothes awaiting the beginning of the play. Cats is a fabulous musical. It would be husbands first time at the orpheum and I wanted it to be memorable.

The musical was just like I remembered. The costumes were bold. The voices were strong. The music was loud. Then I started to get a little headache. I was so enjoying the show but my head was killing me to the point of nausea. At intermission I informed husband we would have to leave as I was falling ill. He was enjoying the show.

When we arrived home I was deathly sick. I took a phenergan and sleeping pill and hoped to feel better in the morning, NOT. I woke up in the middle of the night seriously sick with a throbbing headache. I had to wake up husband and off the Baptist Desoto we went. I became sick several more times at the ER. They started an IV on me and gave me some pain meds. I also had a CT of the head and lab work drawn. I felt better later that morning and was released. Everyone at the hospital was super nice. I ended up sleeping all day sunday.
